Summer’s for front porch sitting and kids swinging on swings. So when I found this boho style swing I knew it was perfect for the front porch. Which started a little revamp of the area, so take a look. I will also be sharing more porch ideas, to make your home a little more hygge. Hygge Porch Design with Swing

When designing to have more of a hygge look, you want it to be cozy and comfortable. But there’s more to hygge than style, it’s also your lifestyle. Hygge lifestyle is what it’s all about! I’m telling you, take the time to relax and enjoy the simple things in life. With the warm weather around I wanted to make my outdoor space more hygge. The best part about this space is the boho hanging chair! Every time I walk out of the house, there is always someone taking a rest in it. Or maybe the kids having a fun time swinging. When putting this space together I wanted to add that bohemian look to give it that Summer feel.

Adding a chair swing to any space around your home is the biggest trend right now. Another chair that I need in my life is the hanging rattan chair. I’m thinking I need a hanging chair in every space in my house! On our chair we added a chunky accent pillow, as well as one of our linen shams to add hygge comfort to the space.

Time to talk about this outdoor rug. Once again another piece that brought the space together. This mat is reversible and it’s plastic for easy clean up. But it’s not your typical plastic, it’s actually a super squishy mat. For me I wanted that classic look of a black and white outdoor space with some pops of greenery. I have had these large black planters for a while now and they work perfect for our front door. They match with everything, so they are just perfect!

Don’t forget about your lighting, it can change the whole ambiance of the space. I knew I wanted to make this space inviting and fun for the evening time. So I went with some string lights across the top of the ceiling. Now for some more outdoor living ideas to help inspire you.
