Do you ever need a last minute dessert? I have got you covered on How to Make a Dessert Charcuterie Board. It is a fun twist on your typical dessert.
How to Make a Dessert Charcuterie Board
Just start with one of your favorite serving trays. I will share affiliate links below of some of our charcuterie boards from our shop. You can go with round, rectangular, oval, whatever you want. Then the fun part, the type of dessert you want to serve. We went with ice cream because that’s a favorite around here.
To begin styling the tray I knew I wanted The Dirty Cookies to be the center of attention. These cookie cups are so fun and can be filled with anything you want! One of them we filled with a yummy cream filling. You can fill them with icing, chocolate syrup, ice cream, the options are endless.
You have to try out these yummy cookies, they are the perfect party favor. When the kids got home from school we ate them up. They are the perfect dessert to display on your charcuterie board. Here is another fun dessert charcuterie board we created.
Ice Cream Toppings
You can’t have ice cream without some goodies. To start I placed some chips into the little bowls. We used peppermint chips, heath bar chocolate chips, and Andes mint chips. They are perfect on-top of ice cream. If you love to homemake your ice cream I have 5 super fun ice cream recipes great for you.
Around the bowls I placed Biscoff cookies, pretzels, and pecans. This makes for easy grabbing. What I love about this dessert charcuterie board is that it doesn’t just have to be ice cream toppings. Just lay it out when your guests come over and they can pick what they like and snack on it in the evening.
Now for the candy! Since it is close to Valentines day I went with cinnamon hearts and of course candy hearts. But you can choose any candy you would like to have on your ice cream. But don’t forget the waffle cones!
For this dessert tray we actually didn’t keep the ice cream out because we knew we would be picking at these tasty treats. So we just brought it out when it was needed. If you want to display your ice cream on the charcuterie board, it is a fun way to showcase it! If you want more dessert ideas, I have the best chocolate cake recipe!
