We use Saltwash. It gives the piece a chippy weathered look. I love using it on just about everything! We use it on mirrors, cabinets, and pots.
Farmhouse Home Decor
You’ll want to start by grabbing any paint you would like. You can use chalk paint or even wall paint. We usually use a blue paint when using Salt wash, but I decided to go with white.
You’ll have your cup of paint and then you will follow the directions on the back of the salt wash. You pour the salt wash powder directly into the paint and then mix. Usually it is pretty thick, so you can get a lot of texture.
You will want to let this dry for about 24 hours. Then if you want to seal it I would use a non yellowing polycyrlic spray. I would spray this outdoors. Then your piece is ready to use! This process really didn’t take me long at all and I love how they turned out!!
For those that don’t have time to be crafty, we do have these listed in our online shop. Course white terra cotta pots are my new fave in our home decor.
