Can you substitute maple syrup instead of corn syrup?
That is a good question. I don’t know much about maple syrup if it would thicken like corn syrup but it is worth a shot. Be sure to let me know how it works out if you try it!
I didn’t have corn syrup so I used some bottled simple syrup. I don’t think it thickens very well, so they seemed “not as sturdy” or a bit “floppy”!if that makes sense.
Oh yes that does! It does help to hold them together
Your recipe says, mix rice krispies & marshmellows but in the directions, you say melt the marshmellows
Do you mean 1 cup of marshmellows with the cereal (unmelted) and 10 oz mini marshmellows melted.
The ingredients don’t list the first 1 cup of marshmellows that you mix with the cereal. Once mixed, do they melt
when added with the cereal to the already warm carmel sauce with the 10 oz marshmellows?
Yes you are correct! I cup unmelted then the rest melted! I am so sorry for the confusion! They do melt but they are a little thicker.
Rhonda,
These look so delicious. Also, I love how they look in your beautiful room!!! Great post and recipe.
Yummy 😋. Have you ever melted Reece’s pb cups in the butter? Ohhh myyy Lord
