We redecorated our back patio for the summer for that clean summer feel. My family and friends are usually gathered in the back here to use our pool in the summer. I found these great decor pieces and got started. Here is my DIY Backyard Small Patio Ideas.

Small Outdoor Patio Ideas
First I got this modern outdoor rug and centered it where I wanted the table. This rug is so easy to clean and it is so simple so I don’t take away from the furniture.

Then I moved this table from the front of the house on top of the rug. I’ve had this table for a long time I don’t remember where I got it from. Make sure if you are using an umbrella to get a table that has a hole for the umbrella pole. I do remember where I got these chairs tho. I found the wood outdoor chairs from Ikea and the black metal chairs from World Market. All my links to these products are down at the bottom of this blog post.
How To Decorate Outdoor Patio
World Market is a great place to find outdoor umbrellas. This blue and white umbrella is sold out sadly but it is so beautiful. I placed this in the middle of the table and brought out my charcuterie boards and flowers for decor. Next grab some pillows for comfortable seating.

Absolutely wonderful ideas for the backyard. I love one that has both sun and shade, so finding the right types of trees can definitely help make the backyard look more inviting as the seasons change as well. Really helps to add some accents that you would otherwise not really consider. I guess it depends on where you live but we’re in Canada so we get the full range of seasons.
How pretty to see all the beautiful seasons!
I liked this article you shared about DIY Backyard Small Patio Ideas. I found the backyard small patio ideas in your article very useful. The table and chairs are cheap but look good when they are matched up correctly. It is quite clever to use a rug instead of paving slabs for the flooring because it looks smart too! Thanks for sharing with me, have a great day!
Thank you so much! This is exactly what we love to hear 🙂
I came across this post on your blog and really liked it. I made a DIY Backyard Small Patio Ideas for my family to spend time in the back. It’s awesome that you have some good ideas and great tips!
Thanks so much, it is amazing to have a special patio for family!
Planning to a small patio at the back of my house but the trees around my house give me some thought to thought about that why I call for a Tree Service to helped deal with those branches, then after that, I apply those DIY Backyard Small Patio Ideas that you shared on your blog, thanks for posting this blog.
Stephanie, I am so glad you appreciated this! I hope you love it
