When Christmas is coming I love to make the home feel cozy and inviting. So when we did our Farmhouse Christmas Decor I knew I want lots of textures and soft colors. Of course with a couple pops of bold colors as well.
Farmhouse Christmas Decor
I started layering my table with a fur throw. I think I got this from Ikea a few years back. Then we sell these large handmade trays in the store. They come in handy for serving a large charcuterie or for a table centerpiece. Then I just filled in the tray with some of my favorite things. Candles, mushrooms and trees! To fill in the bare spots I ran out to my cedar tree and trimmed a bit off and filled it in.
Handmade Christmas Stockings
My daughter in law Lissa actually sews all of our Christmas stockings. This is the busy season so she stops by almost everyday and sews some up. They are so beautiful and we have such a variety. Some people love to buy all the the same. But most love to mix and match and it makes it so fun. A lot of our styles go so well together. The rug in my living room has been a favorite for many, especially in the holiday season. You of course cannot forget pillows. For this I grabbed some of my favorite neutral pillows. Then threw on some Christmas ones.
This year we have some amazing stocking holders. My favorites are from E and E and they have darling animals that have glasses on. They are a deep gold and really make your mantel stand out. Now all I need to be doing is sitting on that couch with a warm cup of hot caramel apple cider.
