Around our house we love Homemade Baked Oatmeal. It’s a great breakfast but also a yummy dessert! It such an easy recipe and it is seriously one of the most delicious meals. I grew up eating baked oatmeal, so it has always been a staple. I figured it was time to share it with you all.

Homemade Baked Oatmeal
We doubled the recipe because we knew it would get eaten up! Sometimes if I am wanting a little more cinnamon I will add another teaspoon. When I make this usually I’ll make bacon or eggs on the side.

Oatmeal Toppings
When I’m eating my baked oatmeal I like to eat it with whip cream and fruit. But we also serve it with heavy cream or syrup. I just got in the most amazing maple syrup. Seriously this stuff is to die for. I put a little on this and oh boy it really made the flavor pop. I will even add the syrup to my coffee!

Since I’ve had this cast iron for a few years now that about all we cook in. It is so easy to just preheat in the oven and pour in your oatmeal. The cast iron creates a good crust on the edges.

Now heres the amazing maple syrup! With a splash of that on your oatmeal and it will taste even extra amazing!
